Bezawit is an Associate in MLA’s NGO and Employment Practice Group. She had an internship at Ethiopian Human Rights Commission. Since August 2020, Bezawit is engaged in assisting clients on mainly NGO, employment and other practices.

Assisted foreign based Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO’s) with their registration in Ethiopia and advised on matters related with the Civil Societies law of the Country;

• Advised various companies, Embassies and diplomatic missions based in Ethiopia on their employment matters including drafting and reviewing employment contracts and separation agreements and COVID 19 related employment matters,
• Reviewed company contracts and service agreements in accordance with Ethiopian laws,
• Advised notable international companies with matters of data protection and privacy including reviewing internal policies,
• Conducted legal due diligence on target companies on Ethiopian employments and environmental laws,
• Conducted an investigation for a major company based in Ethiopia in relation to an insurance claim and,
• Assisted companies with immigration matters including processing work and residence permit.
