Biography

Erica is an Associate at MLA’s.  Prior to joining MLA, She has been working in different roles, legal systems and sectors including working as a legal assistant in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). She was also a volunteer board member/ executive secretary for the Ethiopian Community in Dubai & Northern Emirates. She was also awarded a certificate on The International and National Labor Standards and Social Dialogue Training provided by the International Labor Organization (ILO).

Selected Experience

• Legal expert for Addis Ababa Justice Bureau. She has been involved in providing training, workshops and seminars for employers, managers and employees on national  and international labor standards and ILO conventions in collaboration with the ILO (International Labor Organization)

• Labor Board Judge for Addis Ababa Labour Board mainly involved in adjudicating many individual and collective labor disputes (labor union disputes). As a result of growing industrialization, she was lucky enough to adjudicate a lot of labor disputes from varies sectors for Addis Ababa Labour Board, Addis Ababa.

• Legal Assessor for Occupational Competency Assessment and Certificate. Her main roles were preparing exams, assessing and giving competency result for candidates.
